Break Up

Jimmy is married to Frank, who is abusive, but she is saving up so she may leave. She had been deaf for a year as a result of one of his beatings. He knocks her down the stairway one night, resulting in her hospitalization. The cops want to speak with her when a burnt body in her husband's car is discovered in a pond, but she rushes to her sister's, loses her savings pass-book, and discovers her bank account has been drained.
