Stella

Stella was a short-lived American television series that originally aired on Comedy Central from June 28, 2005 to August 30, 2005. It was created by Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter, and David Wain, three members of the sketch comedy troupe of the same name and former cast members of MTV's The State. Stella has existed as a comedic company since 1997. It has a cult following and sells out performances around the United States. The program broadcast on Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. After 10 episodes, Stella's time slot was filled by Mind of Mencia in September. The following message was placed on Stella's official website on March 8, 2006: "The STELLA series aired last summer on Comedy Central. Officially, the network has decided not to extend it for a second season "thereby effectively ending the series' run. The DVD release of the first season occurred on September 12, 2006. Some episodes have also been made accessible on iTunes, Hulu, and Joost. Stella debuted on The Comedy Channel in Australia on May 3, 2007.
