Biography is just a documentary television series. This had been a half-hour filmed series produced from David Wolper in 1961 to 1964 for CBS and hosted by Mike Wallace. The A&E Network after re-ran it has produced fresh episodes. The variant featured entertainment figures such as John Barrymore or even Will Rogers, or figures such as Mark Twain and Helen Keller. The A&E series has placed the emphasis on such individuals as Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Plácido Domingo, Freddie Mercury, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Eric Clapton, Pope John Paul II, Gene Tierney, Selena, Diego Rivera, Mao Zedong and Queen Elizabeth II, along with fictional characters like The Phantom, Superman, Hamlet, Betty Boop, along with Santa Claus.
