Amazon has been a syndicated tv show made by Peter Benchley. Canadian manufacturing firms Alliance Atlantis Communications & WIC Entertainment and German business Beta Film GmbH Produced it. The 22 episodes of the show were at first-run syndication between 1999 and 2000.
The play show focused on the six survivors of a airline flight in the Amazon jungle. The group soon comes in to connection and connections are not anything but favorable. A mysterious tribe, who flew from century colonists that were lost in Amazon takes in the group. Relationships with the Chosen are tenuous at best. The majority of the group leaks the plumped for just to stir up a hornets nest with a tribe of cannibals, led by an American woman bent on domination of the regional tribes. The initial season ended at a cliff-hanger, and another season was not produced. The show retained sufficient interest that it had been released at 2011 on DVD.
Rob MacGregor wrote A novelization of the pilot, and there was also a paperback released by Harper about 8 2000.
The title has been Amazonas - Gefangene des Dschungels.
