Nothing Like the Sun

In the mid-twentieth century, Alice Mitchell functions as a woman of the street on the street. After her scenario intensifies, she unsuccessfully tries to resolve with her estranged family over her homosexuality. She takes shelter at a Christian home and also wins them over by falsely embracing their belief, in spite of resistance from their in-law, Lillian. While there, Alice's infatuation with the family's little girl, Annabel, expands. After Lillian exposes Alice's homosexuality, Alice redoubles her initiatives to rid herself of it to no avail as she catches a connection with Annabel. Their partnership is found. In desperation, Alice commits to confidence instead and begins a partnership with a male, reconciling her with her moms and dads. But she fails when challenged by Annabel once again, struggling to determine in between entrusting to her as well as continuing to be with her very own family. Through a last conflict with Lillian, Alice makes her final option.
