Love Cuts

Cecilia, a forty-something seamstress known as Sissy to her friends, is a cheerful and energetic seamstress. Wai Mun, her long-term spouse, is the owner of a well-known Chinese restaurant. Despite his dissatisfaction with life since moving from Hong Kong to Singapore, he and Sissy are a loving pair with a happy marriage. They have a 15-year-old son and a nine-year-old daughter who is very close to Sissy and is a huge source of cheer and comfort to her. An unforeseen occurrence occurs in their seemingly ordinary and uninteresting lives. Sissy notices a firm lump in her left breast one day. A flood of mixed emotions washes over her.
