April's Daughter

Valeria is 17 years old and has a child. She lives in Puerto Vallarta with her half-sister, Clara, and they go to school there every day. When Valeria is pregnant, she doesn't want her long-absent mother, April, to know about it. Because of the financial strain and the overwhelming responsibility of having a baby in the house, Clara decides to call their mother. April comes to the party and wants to play with her daughters. Valeria told her to stay away, but we soon learn why.
