14 That Night

In the year 1987, Takashi is a frustrated junior high school student who despises the fact that his uncool father hangs about his suburban home all the time. He is also harassed by the area's want tobe criminals. On the other hand, he had his eye on Megumi, the voluptuous-breasted girl who lives next door. One day, Takashi overhears a rumor to the effect that porn actress Kyoko Yokushimaru is going to be in town for an autograph session at the one and only video store in town, which is also the hangout spot for Takashi and his judo pals. The beginning of their absurd yet important quest. What will Takashi discover after all of the unexpected events and mayhem? Shin Adachi, who won the Japan Academy Prize for his screenplay for 100 Yen Love, is making his directorial debut with this film, which is reminiscent of classics from his youth such as Stand By Me.
