You Can't Take My Daughter
Analyn Megison's true story inspired the film. Amy Thompson (Lyndsy Fonseca) is a vibrant law student in Charlotte who is attacked and raped by Demetri (Hunter Burke), a friend of a friend she met once. Amy makes the difficult decision to keep her baby after discovering she is pregnant as a result of the rape, despite the fact that Demetri continues to stalk and harass her while she waits for the long-delayed trial. She gives birth to a beautiful baby girl and decides to flee to Atlanta to start over. Six years later, Demetri tracks her down and sues her for custody of her daughter, much to her chagrin. Amy fights back with her own legal and investigative skills.
