The Catered Affair
Jane reveals at breakfast that she and Ralph will marry the following week. Jane and Ralph desire a quiet family wedding with no reception. Because Jane's parents are impoverished and Jane and Ralph may borrow a car. In the evening, Ralph's parents only talk about their daughters' huge weddings, and the situation intensifies. A large wedding brunch with hundreds of guests appears. The issue is that Tom has been saving for a cab and license for 12 years, but now that he can, his money is going to a wedding neither he, Jane, or Ralph desire.
