Jenny, a deaf runaway who has just arrived in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury neighborhood in search of her long-lost brother, The Seeker, a mysterious bearded sculptor who is renowned around town. Stoney, Ben, and Elwood are among the members of Mumblin' Jim, a psychedelic band. In their crash pad, a Victorian mansion crammed with love beads and necking lovers, they hide her from the fuzz. Dave, Mumblin' Jim's truth-seeking pal, thinks the band's quest for fame is "playing games," but he agrees to assist Jennie regardless.
