Prancer
The daughter of an impoverished apple farmer, jessica , still believes in Santa Claus. So when she's across a reindeer with an injured leg, then it makes sense to her to presume it is Prancer, who had fallen from the Christmas display. She hides the reindeer in her barn and feeds it biscuits, until she can return it. Her dad finds out the an decides to sell it to the butcher, maybe not to venison chops, but as an advertising display.
