Pop sensations Alvin, Simon and Theodore end up at the care of Dave Seville's Twenty Something nephew Toby. The boys must put aside music stardom also so are tasked with rescuing the music program of the school by winning the $25,000 prize at a battle of the rings. However, the Chipmunks meet their match in three singing chipmunks called The Chipettes - Eleanor, Brittany and Jeanette. If Chipettes and the Chipmunks square away, musical and romantic sparks are ignited.
