Dramarama
Dramarama may be the name of a British kids' anthology show broadcast on ITV between 1983 and 1989. It tended to feature drama of a science fiction or even supernatural bent. The show was made by Anna Home, then head of children's and youth programming at TVS, however production responsibilities were broken up amongst the majority of the ITV franchise holders. Ergo, each incident was in training a one-off production with its own cast and crewaround and including the executive manufacturer.
Dramarama was a launch pad to the likes of David Tennant, Paul Abbott, Kay Mellor, Janice Hally, Tony Kearney, Anthony Horowitz along with Ann Marie Di Mambro and was a place for new talent to establish themselves. It was clearly one of the credits of Dennis Spooner.
Certainly one among Dramarama's episodes,"Dodger, Bonzo And The Rush", gained so much fame that it was turned in to its own show the next calendar year. It starred Lee Ross and was based around a foster home. The incident"Blackbird Singing In The Dead of Night" Originated by Granada in to the TV series Kids's Ward. It was repeated for the first time since its original broadcast on 5 January 2013, throughout the 30th anniversary Old Skool Weekend of CITV. The Series 7 installment"Back To Front" -- notable for incorporating a mirror image of the Yorkshire Television logo card by the ending -- has been replicated on 6 January 2013, again as a portion of CITV's 30th anniversary Old Skool Weekend.
