A Country Practice

A Country Practice was a drama series that aired in Australia. One of the longest-running series of its sort at the time of its debut, created by James Davern of JNP Productions, who authored the pilot episode and placed third in a network writing contest in1979, garnering a merit award. From November 18, 1981 until November 22, 1993, it aired 1,058 episodes on the Seven Network. It was made in Epping, Sydney, at ATN-7's production facility. After a successful run on the seven network, it was taken up by network ten for 30 episodes from April to November 1994, with a mostly new cast, albeit the ten series was not as popular as the seven series. The Channel Seven series was shot in Pitt Town, and the Channel Ten series was shot in Emerald, Victoria.
