The Gun in Betty Lou's Handbag

Betty Lou is a librarian in a very tiny town. Her husband is a police detective who takes her for granted. Betty Lou is your mouse. After having a gangland figure is mysteriously murdered in the town, Betty Lou discovers out the murder weapon, but can't get anybody's attention to share with them (we're talking very mousey, here). In a fit of frustration that she moves the gun in a restroom and when accepted to the police station claims she is your murderer. It has got the desired effect, people do pay attention . On her own way, she's with signs at social graces from the hookers in her cell cube.
