The Golden Voices

At Terrell Christian College (TCC) this year, the "Golden Voices Competition" is going to happen. TCC doesn't have a choir. As the head of the music department, Georgia Mae Jackson (Irma P. Hall) has been told by the assistant dean, Vickie Wilson (Tonea Stewart), that she needs to put together an all-girls choir in a month, or she will lose her job! To get Sidney Nicole Taylor to take charge of the choir, Georgia tricks her granddaughter into taking over. A bad boy R&B singer named Jax Rebel (Mario Mims) helps Sidney with the choir. Sidney turns the college upside down when she hires him to help her. In the show, Dean Wilson finds out about Jax's sorted past. If Georgia doesn't win the competition, he'll be fired. Georgia's job is at risk. Sidney and Jax might be able to help.
