The Dresser

1 fateful night at a small regional theatre throughout World War II a troupe of touring performers stage a production of Shakespeares King Lear. Bombs are falling, sirens are wailing, the drape is up within a single hour or so but the actor/manager Sir who's currently playing Lear is nowhere to be viewed. His dresser Norman must fight to maintain the production living but will Sir turn up punctually of course, if he does will he be ready to carry out that night? The Dresser is a profoundly moving and funny story of friendship and devotion as Sir attempts to reconcile his friendships prior to the final curtain and reflects his lifelong accomplishments.
