Restoration

An aspiring young doctor, Robert Merivel found himself at the service of King Charles II and conserves the life of some one close to this King. The King's court is joined by merivel and lives the high life supplied to some the position. Merivel is ordered to wed his King's mistress to be able to deflect the queens suspicions. The king gives him one command and that isn't to fall inlove. The problem worsens when Merivel finds himself in love with his wife. The King realizes and alleviates Merivel of the position and wealth. His fall from grace leaves Merivel. And during reunions and his travels by having an older friend, he rediscovers his passion for medicine that is true and exactly what it means to be a doctor.
