Little Miss Marker

Enormous Steve Halloway, gambler and proprietor of the Horseshoe Cabaret, by which his girl sings of New York, is now in dire need of funds. He arranges to his fellow bookies Sorrowful Jones, each to cover him 1,000 Dream Prince, due to his racehorse, to get rid of. Together with stakes Sorrowful encounters a gambler, having lost $500 but is not able to generate $20. Alternatively, he sets his daughterMarthy Jane (Shirley Temple), as collateral, or at bookie's terms, a"mark". Having lost his bethe commits suicide, leaving"little Miss Marker" under the care of Sorrowful Jones. Since Steve hides out at Chicago to prevent hunt due to his jagged betshe entrusts Sorrowful to see over Bangles throughout his absence, at that time the"golddigger" helps"tight-wod" with his trouble. After Big Steve learns Bangles is associated with Sorrowful, he proceeds to New York to do some thing positive about it.
